Aurora Cannabis appoints Reliva CEO as chief commercial officer

July 6, 2020  By Grow Opportunity staff

Aurora Cannabis Inc. announced that Miguel Martin, president of Aurora USA and Reliva LLC, has been appointed as the Canadian company’s chief commercial officer.

Martin replaces Darren Karasiuk, who held the position for Aurora since February 2019. He boasts 25 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) global industry. He became president of Aurora USA upon acquisition of Reliva last May where he served as chief executive officer.

“This appointment allows us to take full advantage of Miguel’s depth of international CPG experience to drive Aurora’s revenues and brand strength in our global core markets,” said Michael Singer, Executive Chairman and Interim CEO of Aurora. “His new role at Aurora is indicative of our commitment to combining sales and marketing excellence with driving profitability in our core businesses.”

Aurora first acquired Reliva in May, in hopes this acquisition would further establish its U.S. national distribution.
