Avicanna’s Colombian subsidiary exports first round of feminized seeds
June 12, 2022 By Haley Nagasaki
Toronto cannabis biopharmaceutical company, Avicanna, has completed its first commercial export of feminized seeds to Lesotho—a landlocked country in Southern Africa.
The development of feminized cannabis seeds and subsequent export was fulfilled by the vertically integrated Santa Marta Golden Hemp S.A.S. (SMGH), which is Avicanna’s majority owned Colombian subsidiary.
“We are happy to see the demand for our proprietary genetics grow internationally. The culmination of our seed development and standardization efforts provides our international partners with the opportunity to cultivate federally registered, reliable and consistent cultivars across various environments and landscapes.” — Lucas Nosiglia, President of Avicanna LATAM
