Breath Summit 2022: New cannabis technologies to arm law enforcement
June 7, 2022 By Haley Nagasaki
The International Association of Breath Research (IABR) will host a global event this June, the Breath Summit 2022, where new research by Cannabix Technologies Inc. will be presented.
Cannabix Technologies, a developer of cannabis breathalyzer devices, will speak to the “Correlation of breath and blood cannabis levels using custom-made breath sample collection and analysis methods”, during the conference, which focuses on breakthroughs and emerging topics related to chemical analysis and identification strategies.
New Cannabix Technologies tech is used to detect THC in the human breath. The company is in discussion with law enforcement groups seeking to test this hardware as it is made available.
“Breath testing for THC would allow employers and law enforcement to identify recent marijuana use that better aligns with impairment. Cannabix devices are in the advanced prototype and pre-clinical testing stage,” says Rav Mlait, CEO Cannabix Technologies, on behalf of the company’s Board of Directors.
