Danial Schecter, an experienced physician in the area of medical cannabis

Dr. Danial Schecter has been researching, educating and practicing in cannabinoid-based medicine (CBM) for the past 15 years. His interest in CBM led to the founding of the Canabo Medical Clinic, Canada’s largest referral only clinic specializing in medical cannabis. He is currently the Associate Director of Clinical Education at Santé Cannabis, one of Canada’s leading clinical and research organizations. As a recognized expert he has trained thousands of physicians and pharmacists on how to help patients decide if cannabis is right for them.

 

Dr. Siân Bevan, Chief Mission Officer at the Arthritis Society

Dr. Siân Bevan is the Arthritis Society’s Chief Science Officer responsible for driving the scientific research, advocacy, public policy and information and support agenda.  She also leads the Society’s marketing and communications portfolio to maximize reach and impact. Bevan completed her PhD in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto, after her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at McGill University.  Before joining the Arthritis Society she held progressively senior roles at the Canadian Cancer Society where she was most recently the Vice-President of Research, providing scientific leadership and financial stewardship for the Cancer Society’s $40 million research program. Before joining the Cancer Society she led the research programs team at the Ontario Genomics Institute working with the scientific community, federal and provincial research funders, academic institutions and hospitals to cultivate large scale genomics projects.

 

Helen Stevenson, founder and CEO, Reformulary Group Inc.

Helen Stevenson is founder and CEO of Reformulary Group Inc., a health care company that built a proprietary evidence-based drug list, the Reformulary, and award-winning DrugFinder tool. The company recently launched the Cannabis Standard, an online platform for Canadians to discover medical cannabis, search comparable products and track their health. Stevenson is also a former Assistant Deputy Minister of Health and Executive Officer of the Ontario Public Drug Programs.
