September 23, 2019 By Jean Ko Din
Fire & Flower Holdings Corp. announced Sept. 23 that CEO Trevor Fencott has been elected to the board of directors of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
The Canadian Chamber, established in 1929, is the largest business association in the country. It represents about 250,000 businesses of all sizes. Most recently, it formed a National Cannabis Working Group to provide policy recommendations for the emerging cannabis sector.
“The progressive outlook demonstrated by the Chamber in forming a National Cannabis Working Group is to be commended and Fire & Flower is proud to be co-chairing the initiative,” said Fencott in a statement.
Fire & Flower is a Canadian cannabis retailer with store licences in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and the Yukon. It recently entered into a strategic partnership with Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. to expand its HiFyre digital retail platform.
