New Brunswick says it will provide funding for people interested in taking a marijuana cultivation program in Campbellton.

Labour Minister Gilles LePage says it is partnering with Zenabis Incorporated to provide financial support for people taking the course at a community college.

The province will spend up to $117,000 for tuition costs of eligible participants in the 20-week cannabis cultivation program.

Last November, a memorandum of understanding was signed with Zenabis to supply the provincial government with cannabis for the recreational market.
