This year’s O’Cannabiz Conference and Expo has moved its April event to October 27-29, 2020 at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.

“In solidarity with the global community’s effort to curb the spread of COVID-19, and in cooperation with Public Health Canada advisories and provincial measures around large gatherings; along with the support of our advisory board, we have made the decision to postpone O’Cannabiz Conference and Expo until the fall,” said Neill Dixon, president of O’Cannabiz. “The health and safety of Canadians along with our speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, visitors, and staff is our number one priority.”

The decision to postpone the national cannabis business event came on March 16, hours after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced new border controls that will bar non-resident travellers from entering the country.

International flights has also been limited to international airports in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver, all of which have enhanced screening protocols. The prime minister also encouraged all Canadians to practice social distancing and to stay home as much as possible.
