About the panelists:


Deepak Anand
Deepak Anand brings a combined 15 years in the health, non-profit and private sectors in Canada. He has worked for prominent organizations as executive director of the Canadian National Medical Marijuana Association (CNMMA), vice-president of Zenabis Global Inc. and adjunct professor of Canada’s first cannabis course at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Today, he is the CEO and director of Materia, a pharmaceutical company focused on manufacturing, extraction, supply and distribution.


Alison McMahon
Alison McMahon is the founder and CEO of Cannabis At Work, a leading source for cannabis jobs, recruitment services, online industry training and human resources consulting. Before establishing the company in 2015, she was a term instructor at the MacEwan School of Business in Edmonton. She is a mentor for the Lead Forward cannabis incubator and has previously served on the board of directors for Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana (CFAMM).


Rathi Param
Rathi Param is the president and dean of the North American College of Pharmaceutical Technology in Mississauga, Ont. She has helped develop Canada’s first government-approved cannabis diploma programs and more than 20 certificate training programs in the cannabis space. When she is not in the academic space, she leads as president president and founder of the International Medical Cannabis Association (IMCA) and Validation Technologies Inc.
