Q&A: Bobby Bains, Head Grower, Delta 9 Cannabis
In this one-on-one interview with the head grower at Manitoba-based Delta 9 Cannabis, Bobby Baines will offer some insights on developing and leading a cultivation team at a large-scale, commercial cannabis production facility. Bobby Bains, head grower, Delta 9
As the head grower for Delta 9, thirty-eight-year-old Bobby Bains is responsible for cultivation in 290 grow rooms at the licensed producer’s 80,000-square-foot facility in Winnipeg. Prior to joining Delta 9, Bains spent the last 20 years enriching his cultivation skills in the legacy market, managing large-scale cultivation operations in British Columbia. He has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. In addition to his responsibilities in the grow rooms, Bains looks after updating Delta 9’s genetics program to keep up with current market demands. He is also responsible for fertigation planning, programming and scheduling, staff management of section growers, team leads and production associates, and developing standard operating procedures alongside the company’s quality assurance team.
