VIVO boasts largest harvest in company history

VIVO Cannabis Inc. is calling its 2020 season harvest its most successful year yet.
The company estimates that it will yield about 4,000 kilograms from this year’s crop, the largest harvest in company history. It will take place at VIVO’s Kimmetts facility in Napanee, Ont. which consists of four airhouses with a total of 75,000 square feet of cultivation space. The facility is estimated to house about 10,000 plants in total.
“I am pleased to say that this year’s crop has exceeded our expectations, with some of our plants reaching a height of over 12 feet,” said CEO Barry Fishman in a statement. “As the only Canadian licensed producer currently using airhouse technology, the success of the crop both validates our strategic decision to invest in the airhouses and demonstrates the capabilities of our highly talented Napanee team.”
According to the company statement, its use of airhouse technology results in more reliable cannabis compared with outdoor growing as it mitigates the risk of weather and pests. Airhouses also allows for greater environmental control, including improved light quality, controlled air flow and humidity, and the ability to use supplemental heat to extend the growing season as required.
Some of the harvest will be packaged and sold as dry flower and the remaining biomass will be extracted and processed into a portfolio of Cannabis 2.0 products.
VIVO Cannabis has a collection of premium brands, including Canna Farms, Beacon Medical, Fireside, Lumina and Canadian Bud Collection. It also has Harvest Medicine, VIVO’s patient-centric network of medical cannabis clinics, has serviced over 100,000 patient visits.
