Walmart Canada explores selling cannabis products

Walmart might be selling cannabis-infused products in its Canadian stores. To be clear, the company says it has explored the possibility, but it's not quite on board yet.

“As we would for any new industry, Walmart Canada has done some preliminary fact-finding on this issue, but we do not have plans to carry CBD products at this time,” spokeswoman Diane Medeiros said in an email to Bloomberg.

With marijuana legalization day just around the corner in Canada (Oct. 17), other companies including Coca-Cola Co. and Shoppers Drug Mart are also brainstorming the opportunities.
